What’s the difference between a generic and brand-name
drug? Not much, except for name and price. A generic drug is
called by its chemical name; a manufacturer assigns a brand name. The
products have the same ingredients.

Cialis (Tadalafil) - Men's Sexual Health Cialis
is known as the " 36 hour pill" or the "weekend pill" because unlike
other similar drugs, Cialis has a long duration of action.
Cialis blocks an enzyme that causes an erection to go flaccid. Although
Cialis is similar to Levitra and Viagra, its dose, onset of action, and
duration of action is unique.
Erectile Dysfunction Treatment
Cialis is a member of a family of drugs called PDE5 Inhibitors. Cialis
is now marketed in approximately 40 countries and is available by
prescription in pharmacies on five continents.
Cialis was developed by Icos, a relatively small biotech company located
in Washington State, in the United states. Icos has formed a 50/50 joint
venture with American Pharmaceutical Giant, Eli Lilly & company. The
partnership is called Lilly Icos.
The active ingredient in CIALIS tablets, tadalafil,
belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5
inhibitors. Following sexual stimulation CIALIS helps the blood vessels
in your penis to relax which allows the blood flow into your penis. The
result is the improved erectile function. CIALIS will not help you if
you do not have erectile dysfunction.
How Cialis really work?
When an erection goes limp, you have PDE5 to thank. Specialized penis
tissue produces a substance called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)
in response to sexual stimulation. The more cGMP available, the more
durable the erection. Cialis inhibits the PDE5 enzyme, preserving cGMP
levels, therefore aiding erection viability and durability.
Take Cialis exactly as your doctor prescribes. Cialis
comes in different doses (5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg). For most men, the
recommended starting Cialis dose is 10 mg. Cialis should be taken no
more than once a day. Your doctor will prescribe the dose that is right
for you.
Warnings/Precautions
Cialis can cause your blood pressure to drop suddenly to an unsafe level
if it is taken with certain other medicines such as nitrates and
alpha-blockers, and recreational drugs that contain nitrates called
"poppers". A sudden drop in your blood pressure could cause you to
become dizzy, faint, or have a heart attack or stroke. Until you are
certain how you are affected by Cialis, use caution when driving or
operating heavy machinery. Cialis contains some lactose and should not
be taken by patients who are lactose intolerant. Also, during treatment
you should avoid grapefruit juice. Taking Cialis with grapefruit juice
can increase your chances of experiencing undesirable side effects. If
you are taking medications with nitrates or nitric oxide, have
uncontrolled blood pressure (high or low), or if you have a history of
stroke or heart attack DO NOT take Cialis.
Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is
almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your
regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a
missed one.
Possible Side Effects
The most common side effects with Cialis are headache, indigestion, back
pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. These side
effects usually go away after a few hours. Patients who get back pain
and muscle aches usually get it 12 to 24 hours after taking Cialis. Back
pain and muscle aches usually go away by themselves within 48 hours.
Call your doctor if you get a side effect that bothers you or one that
will not go away.

Cialis Results
Lilly Icos LLC, the joint venture of Bothell-based Icos Corp. and Eli
Lilly & Co. of Indianapolis, said that 79 percent of patients in a
recent clinical study of erectile dysfunction drug Cialis reported
positive results.
The follow-on study was designed to
determine efficacy and safety of the drug. Only 5 percent of the
program's 207 participants discontinued the study because of adverse
reactions, most commonly for headache, back pain and upset stomach, the
company said.
Cialis is already approved for use in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and
Singapore, and a U.S. Food and Drug Administration decision on use of
Cialis in the United States is due during the second half of this year.
The company also said that the results of a study of the long-term
safety of the drug in phase 3 study participants for at least a year
were similar to the short-term safety data, with about 5 percent
discontinuing treatment because of side effects such as headaches and
upset stomach.
Cialis Works Cialis
is the new age answer to erectile dysfunction in men. Here the magic
component working all that wonder in the world of impotency is Tadalafil.
Tadalafil was basically a drug developed by the biotechnology firm ICOS
and today the company behind all that brand success and marketing glory
is Eli Lilly.
How does Cialis or Tadalafil work wonder?
Tadalafil inhibits an enzyme known as PDE5 in the body after intake of
Cialis. Due to its 36-hour effect while the drug might prove effective
than Viagra, consider this- the “Weekend pill” has other drug
interactions and limitation. PDE5 would eventually help in increasing
the blood flow in the penis when a man is sexually stimulated. Cialis
proved effective in clinical trials in a number of ways.
1. Patients who buy Cialis claim confidence in ability to achieve and
maintain an erection. 2. Cialis increases satisfaction with the hardness
of erections. 3. Cialis gives the ability to maintain erections for
successful sexual intercourse.
Buy Generic Drugs, Save Money
A generic drug is identical, or bioequivalent to a brand name drug in
dosage form, safety, strength, route of administration, quality,
performance characteristics and intended use. Although generic drugs are
chemically identical to their branded counterparts, they are typically
sold at substantial discounts from the branded price. According to the
Congressional Budget Office, generic drugs save consumers an estimated
$8 to $10 billion a year at retail pharmacies. Even more billions are
saved when hospitals use generics.
